Location And Travel

Bruton School for Girls is set in the historic town of Bruton in the heart of beautiful Somerset countryside.  Located close to the M3-A303 corridor, Bruton School for Girls is within approximately two hours’ drive from London.


Railway stations in Bruton itself and in nearby Castle Cary and Templecombe give excellent direct links to London, Bath, Bristol, Exeter and Salisbury.  It is easily accessible by car or bus from neighbouring towns and villages that include Glastonbury, Wells, Gillingham, Yeovil, Frome, Shaftesbury, Shepton Mallet, Sherborne and Warminster.

Boarders' Travel
The school provides accompanied transport for boarders to travel between London Heathrow and Bruton at the beginning and end of term, as well as a service to local railway stations. For details of train times for services to and from Bruton for weekly boarders download our Train Timetable or contact the Registrar.
