Sunny Hill Pre-Prep Light Up the School

The boys and girls of Sunny Hill Nursery and Pre-Prep, Bruton School for Girls, lit up the school grounds on Friday 6th November 2009, with a traditional lantern walk.

All the children made a lantern to light their way as they paraded in the dark around the school campus.  Flute and recorder music from older pupils accompanied the children and their parents on their twilight walk.

Pupils began the evening with traditional songs and finished the evening with hot chocolate, gingerbread men and toffee apples.

Head of Sunny Hill Preparatory School, Mrs Helen Snow said ‘The pupils thoroughly enjoyed being out at night with the lanterns they had made to enrich this term’s topic on light and dark. This highly successful and most enjoyable evening has become an annual event in our school calendar.’
