This beautiful part of the country is about two hours away from London, Heathrow and Gatwick and 30 minutes from Bristol International Airport. European students can reach the school easily from Channel ports such as Portsmouth and Poole. The main railway from London to south west England passes within one mile (1.5 kilometres) of the school. Travellers by car will use the M3 and A303 route, or the M5 from the midlands and north.
The school campus of 40 acres (16 hectares) lies on the southern fringe of Bruton town, a location in the charming Wessex countryside, yet accessible to Bath, Bristol, and Salisbury, as well as shopping centres like Yeovil. Though in Somerset, the school lies very close to the borders of Wiltshire and north Dorset.
Military personnel may be interested to know that the school is within 5 miles of Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton. It is about 15 miles, and linked by daily bus, from the army at Warminster, and about 25 miles to the north of Blandford. The army bases around Amesbury - Larkhill, Bulford etc - are about 35 miles to the east and Andover only a little further on the A303.
