Come and see what makes life at Bruton so special
Contact Us
Our Director of Admissions will be happy to speak to you to discuss the next step you need to take when considering enrolling your daughter at Bruton School for Girls. Contact the Director of Admissions on (01749) 814401, email or complete the enquiry form and she will contact you and arrange for you to receive a school prospectus.
Visit Us
We strongly encourage interested parents and students to visit the school and see what makes life at Bruton so special. Visiting us will provide you with the opportunity to see the school in action, meet staff and students and have your questions answered.
Visits may take place at one of our Open Events held throughout the year or by arranging an individual appointment. Please allow 1 - 2 hours for your visit.
To help your daughter see what life is like at Bruton School for Girls we invite all registered girls to spend a day in school. They will be introduced to other girls in their class and participate fully in the school day. If looking to become a boarder, girls may also spend a night in house.
Join Us
In order to secure a place for your daughter on our waiting list, we ask that you complete and return the registration form together with the non-refundable registration fee. You may register your daughter for entry at any time. Please download a registration form and send it to The Director of Admissions, Bruton School for Girls, Sunny Hill, Bruton, Somerset BA10 0NT.
Entrance Assessments for entry to the Senior School (11+, 12+ and 13+) are held in the Spring Term preceding your daughter’s entry. We invite all girls to sit the assessments and participate in a day of activities.
Girls looking to apply for a Scholarship are asked to submit an application and visit school to meet with members of staff. See our Scholarship page for application deadlines.
In the Preparatory School, the girls will meet with the Head of the Preparatory School during their taster day and participate in some literacy and numeracy assessment.
Places are offered after completion of the entrance assessments. Once the place is accepted, a non-refundable acceptance fee is required to secure the place.
Intake into the Preparatory School can occur at any time depending on available places. At Senior School entry, Girls from our Prep School are joined by others from a wide variety of local, national and international schools, providing a rich social and academic environment. Senior School and Sixth Form entry occurs at Senior Form 1 (11+), Senior Form 3 (13+) and Sixth Form (16+). Space permitting, we also accept girls in Senior Form 2 (12+) and at the start of the GCSE courses (Senior Form 4).
