Location and Travel
Bruton School for Girls is set on the outskirts of the historic town of Bruton in the heart of beautiful Somerset countryside. Located close to the M3-A303 corridor, Bruton School for Girls is within approximately two hours’ drive of London.
Railway stations in Bruton itself and in nearby Castle Cary, Gillingham and Templecombe give excellent direct links to London, Bath, Bristol, Exeter and Salisbury. Bruton is easily accessible by car or the school-run bus service, from neighbouring towns and villages that include Glastonbury, Wells, Gillingham, Yeovil, Frome, Shaftesbury, Shepton Mallet, Sherborne and Warminster.
If travelling to Bruton School for Girls, please enter BA10 0NT into your Sat Nav or Google Maps. Once you are near, please be aware that the Prep and Senior school car parks are located on the A359 and so there is no need to turn off this road on to Sunny Hill.
Taxi and train travel can be arranged for students arriving at the beginning of each term and for half term and exeat weekend travel as required. All travel costs are charged to the student's termly invoice and costs are shared between students when more than one is using the transport. At the end of each term the school operates a coach service for students travelling to London Heathrow.
