How to go about joining us

Admissions

Q: How do I apply for entry?

A: If you've been to visit and made that all-important decision to join us, we ask you to start the application process by completing a Registration Form (which you can download) and send this to us together with a registration payment of £50.  The Admissions section of the website has all the information you require but don't hesitate to contact the Admissions Team on 01749 814401 or by email: admissions@brutonschool.co.uk and we'll do everything we can to help.

Q: When should I register my Daughter?

A: We recommend you register your daughter for entry as early as possible.  We accept registrations at any time throughout the year but earlier applications are given priority.

Q: Do you have Open Days?

A: Yes, we have Open Mornings scheduled throughout the year, one every term, as well as other Admissions events specifically for people interested in our school and we welcome individual family visits at any time.  Please contact us to arrange a visit.

Q: Can my daughter apply for a Scholarship?

A: Scholarships are available to girls joining the Senior School (Senior 1 and Senior 3) or Sixth Form.  Scholarships are awarded for outstanding ability in sport, art, drama, music or academic subjects.  There are deadlines for applications; please refer to the Scholarship page for further information.

Q: Can we apply for financial assistance?

A: Governors’ Exhibitions (Bursaries) are available to girls joining the Senior School or Sixth Form.  Governors’ Exhibitions are means-tested financial assistance awarded to pupils who would benefit from an education at Bruton School for Girls or Sunny Hill Preparatory School, but whose family would need additional financial support.  They are subject to an annual review.  Visit the Scholarship page to find out more or contact the Director of Admissions for details.

Q: What are your School’s fees/Term Dates?

A: The latest school fees and term dates are available to download.

Purchase of Uniform

Q: Where do I purchase Uniform?

A: Our uniform supplier is Stevensons and parents are asked to contact the suppliers directly.  For overseas boarders, orders can be placed directly with Stevensons via their website and you can request that the uniform be delivered directly to the school.  The Parent Staff Association runs a Second Hand Uniform Shop.  This is open 3:00pm – 4:15pm on Mondays during term time.  Alternative times are available by appointment.   Stevensons also visit the school twice a year to sell uniform.  This usually takes place in March in association with the PSA tea and in June for the Induction day.  School uniform lists are available to download.
