Welcome to Bruton School for Girls - an independent girls' day and boarding school in Somerset.

At Bruton School for Girls, we are passionate about, and experts in, girls’ education. We encourage our girls to grow intellectually, think independently and become responsible, confident young women.  

We pride ourselves in ensuring that superb pastoral care and core values sit alongside our excellent teaching. This offers a well-rounded education in an environment with the space to inspire, challenge, encourage and support every girl develop her full potential to become the amazing person she can be.

Established in 1900 and set amid the beautiful English countryside in Somerset, we are an independent day and boarding school welcoming girls aged 2 to 18, all the way through Nursery, Prep, Senior School and Sixth Form, whilst boys are able to stay in the Prep School until they are 7.
